The genius behind this photo is Mofe Bamuyiwa — a wedding, portrait and beauty photographer based in Lagos, Nigeria — who decided to photograph Jare the way she photographs adults.
"I could have made her smile and make her laugh out loud but I put her in their natural moments for us to see through their eyes," shared Bamuyiwa according to TheGrio.
Bamuyiwa’s father was a freelance photographer so it’s clear to see where her interest sparked. She took it one step further from freelance, making photography both a lifestyle and a career.
For Jare’s photograph, the five-year-old donned gorgeous natural hair with eyes that speak to anyone’s soul. In her beauty portraits, Jare is intently gazing into the camera which leaves you unable to look away without staring at her beauty for at least five minutes.
"The opportunity came and I had to take a bold step to express my ideas of how I want to take portraits of kids," shared Barmuyiwa. "I want to portray the interception between her childhood and adulthood so both stay timeless."
Needless to say, Jare’s portraits ranked over 40,000 likes and has been seen all over the web. Shortly after the portraits went viral, Jare’s mother created an Instagram for the young queen which already has more than 87,500 followers.
