World stop… and keep stopping! Beyoncé sure knows how to keep the hive on their toes! Just a few days after the announcement of the release date of her album, the artist released a new single on a Tuesday when the norm (which she set) for new music is usually on Fridays.

The singer’s announcement of the new song was pretty underrated. Beyoncé’s bio sections on Instagram and Twitter were quietly updated  midday to read: “6 break my soul midnight ET.” As if fans weren’t already excited for the new drop, she then released the song on Tidal three hours before midnight. Everyone else was able to hear the new song at midnight, when she broke the internet… and apparently souls.

“Break My Soul” is the sixth song on her long-awaited sequel to “Lemonade.” Its a disco dance track sampling Big Freedia’s ‘Explode’ and Robin S.’s ‘Show Me Love.’ Writing credits also include Jay-Z and Adam Pigott.

This for sure won’t be the end of Beyoncé’s surprises up until the album release. We are excited to see what she has up her sleeve! “Renaissance” arrives on July 29th.
