There is No Communication

If there is a lack of communication in your relationship, then something is wrong. If the two of you have conflicts that never get resolved, this leads to resentment that could last a long time. Maybe you give your partner the silent treatment while he is more mature about his communication and wants to see your point of view.

Are you direct and assertive when stating your needs, or do you hold back when talking to your partner? Consider getting couples counseling so the communication between the two of you can improve.

Controlling Behavior

If your partner is too controlling or possessive, then it may be time to end things. Your partner might be insecure and worries that he'll lose you, so he tries to hold on to you with a tight grip. But he needs to understand that the two of you need time for yourselves as individuals because it makes for a healthier relationship.

He Leads You On

When you're in a relationship with someone, at some point, you want to know the direction of where things are headed. Who wants to be left wondering if there is a future with or without your partner? If you've dated for a while, and he still hasn't discussed his intentions for the relationship, or if he sees you as a marriage partner one day, then it might be time to move on. You don't want to be with someone who leads you on and has no desire to make a real long-term commitment with you.
