Authentically WeezyWTF

WeezyWTF has made a name for herself by being authentically herself. She has cultivated her career of being a sexpert, comedy writer, and podcaster. After 8 years in corporate America, she quit her job and took a leap of faith with her skills. That was when she created the WHOREible Decisions podcast and her career took off. Since then she has been featured on HBO, BET, Showtime, Quibi, Fuse, and Viceland. Weezy is now once again getting ready to shake up the podcast space once more.

Adidas Originals has teamed up with the media mogul for their newest podcast, “Interlaced.” The podcast focuses on the new wave of cultural disruptors’ as they share compelling never-before-heard stories about the moment that transformed their lives and empowered them to honor their authentic selves. Weezy is definitely someone who makes sure that she stays authentic. “I took my braids out on an episode before,” she recalled. “I don’t really feel like I’m actually making something that is for sale and that is really when you get to be authentic.”

She even said that she honors her authentic self by not changing who she is because of her fame and money. Her ideal wedding, she says, would have “popeyes and caviar,” and she is unapologetic about that. “Sometimes I have to check myself and it’s those things. I don’t want to ever act like I’m too good for why people loved me in the first place.”

WeezyWTF has been known for her sex advocacy. Her podcast has always challenged the views of sex and during the pandemic, she decided to develop that advocacy even more. She then launched “$ex Sells” on Fuse. The show focuses on the industry of sex work rather than the experience of sex workers, as she does on her podcast. “I realized I have been making money from sex without having it. It really made me want to delve into the business of sex. While exploring that part of my career… I realized how lucrative these businesses are,” she says. “What shifted for me was a lot of the time in the beginning, I felt like people were looking at me like ‘sex podcast girl/hoe.’ After a while I realized I am a businesswoman, I am an entrepreneur.”

Weezy is excited to start the next chapter of her life. She plans on focusing more on production and less on being the face of a project. A part of a new title of hers, she is set to head Kenya Barris, best known as the creator of the ABC sitcom Black-ish, production company’s audio division to manage the newly signed deal with Audible to collaborate on a series of audio projects. She mentions in the conversation that she has a lot of projects coming up that many won’t know she’s a part of and she loves that.
