Tiffany Haddish literally takes a walk down memory lane to talk about self care, traveling and the reason she turned down $10 million dollars. Yes, 10 Mil!

Before Haddish became one of Hollywood’s most sought out female comedians, she used to walk the trails of California and dream.

When I was homeless, I used to come over here all the time and just dream.” She told Cosmopolitan in a cover story published Thursday.

All those dreams manifested into real life and Haddish took the world by storm in 2017 after her breakout performance in ‘Girls Trip.’

At this current moment Tiffany can be seen on not only one, two, three – but four streaming services. And on her upcoming film, ‘Back on the Strip,’ which will release later this year.

Along her hike with Cosmopolitan, she explained how she balances boundaries between work and self care. As well as her favorite place to relax and travel.

“I love and hate telling people no,” she said. “I love it because it’s for me—I have to take care of Tiffany. I hate it because nine times out of ten, whoever’s asking me is somebody I probably really like and care about.”

“If a friend wants me to do a show or something like that, I have to be honest and say, ‘I can’t do it. I gotta get up early in the morning and the reason I gotta get up so early is because I need to go for a walk,'” she continued. “So you just got to be selfish in a way, and I hate that feeling of being selfish, but I love the results.”

As far as Ms. Haddish’s favorite places to travel there’s Marina del Rey or Malibu, Bermuda and her most favorite places of them all, Eritrea. Tiffany’s father is Eritrean and not only does she have land and family there but she also owns an island!

Yes you read that correct, our good sis has her own island and admits that although the ocean covers it for about four or five hours a day, her father can still hang out on it and relax for about six or seven hours.

Haddish also reflects on trips in her grandmother’s old chevy where she would dream about traveling the world. She knew, even as a little girl, that one day she would be able to travel the world for real.

Before enlightening readers on the reason she turned down $10 million dollars, she took a brief pause to compliment a fine hiker on his hoochie daddy shorts.

“Damn, daddy, you’re fine as hell. Are we slowing you down?” she asked the man.

After exchanging words with the hiker, Haddish went on to let readers know a little secret about another location she loves to travel and visit.

“You know, there’s a lot of real hoochie daddy shorts in Europe, you ever been? If you ever get a chance to go to Santorini, the men are beautiful,” she said. “The food is delicious. I don’t care what hotel you’re at, you’re going to have a beautiful view. And the men walk around in them hoochie daddy shorts. It’s fun to watch. I like watching.”

Now, as to why Haddish turned down $10 million dollars, well the substance of the offer made her “feel like s–t.”

“I’ve turned down, s–t, I’ve turned down $10 million just to do a post because it didn’t represent my brand,” she said. “I turned down $10 million because my soul is worth more than that to me. My spirit, my integrity, how I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror every day.”

The ‘Girls Trip’ star admitted she’d “rather be flat broke” than accept money that doesn’t speak to her character. We love a queen with morals!
