Fans were wondering for months when the Smith family planned on opening up about the “slap heard around the world.” Finally, Jada Pinkett-Smith has briefly addressed the matter in her newest episode of “Red Table Talk.” The actress shared her thoughts in typical Jada fashion: cool, calm, collected and with class.

The latest episode focuses on Alopecia, a disease that Jada revealed she has been battling with in December of 2021. She opens up the episode recounting the amount of women who have reached out to her since the the night of the 2022 Oscars who could relate to her. Then she briefly touched on the slap itself.

Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life out together.

When addressing the slap, Jada kept it brief but powerful. She wished for the two men to heal and reconcile. Neither party has made any official public statements about the incident although Chris Rock’s mother commented on the incident back in April.

Jada added that the world needs the pair now more than ever. She then continued to address her and Will’s marriage stating “Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life out together.” The two have always kept their marriage private so for her to keep it very vague but still informal, is on brand for the host.

Aside from Jada’s remark in the first few minutes, the remainder of the episode highlights a few individuals across all walks of life who are battling the disease. Check out the full episode, out now!
