Kelis recently shared a clip from Refinery29’s Unbothered Presents The Glow Up event where she spoke on having Black women on her team. She was focusing on creating safe spaces for Black Women.

I need to know that when I call you about my business, about my child, about whatever it is…that I’m talking to someone who speaks my language for real.

In her talk, she mentions her gynecologist, her business manager and one of her managers are all Black women. She says that that in itself is a safe space for her.
