She get it from her mama! All of our favorite kids are growing up right in front of our eyes and the latest little to pop out is daughter of pop icon Mariah Carey. 10-year-old Monroe Cannon is taking on the role of telling the childhood story of her legendary mother for denim brand OshKosh B’Gosh in their back-to-school campaign Today Is Someday. The campaign, which focuses on both "timeless and trend-forward styles alongside a bold new brand identity," according to a press release, features the inner monologues of Carey, Muhammad Ali and Outkast. This is the first modeling job for Monroe, who Mariah shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon along with her twin brother Morocco.
Ever the proud mom, Mariah had this to say about this moment, “As a little girl, I was determined to realize my dreams. Now as a mother, it brings me so much joy to see my children visualize and develop the dreams they hold in their own hearts. We did the campaign because we love the message of empowering kids to dream boldly and blaze their own path.” So adorable that Monroe’s start in the industry is by telling her mother’s emotional childhood story and influence on the lives of others.
Carey and #dembabies were a public fixture for years but as of recent they’ve all seemed to take a bit of a step back from the spotlight. The "We Belong Together" diva is celebrating Christmas in July with a Loot Crate collaboration that features all things necessary for a festive holiday season. Each box includes exclusive ornaments, gifts and collectibles from gift tags and ribbon to bakeware and surprises in each package—all Mariah Carey themed, of course.
We love a dose of Mimi on a Tuesday!!
