Earlier this morning Nia Long was trending all over Twitter after allegations arose that her longtime partner and fiancé, Ime Udoka was engaged in a workplace affair.
Udoka, who’s a Boston Celtics coach is reportedly facing suspension from his position for having an “improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff”. The couple has been engaged for seven years and had a son together back in 2011.
A violation of this manner could result in Udoka receiving a possibly year-long suspension from the NBA, a report by ESPN explains.
Long, who’s known for her roles in “Soul Food”, “Boyz n the Hood” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, has in the past revealed her reluctance to marriage.
“I understand the religious aspect of marriage,” she says in a past interview with Essence. “That is beautiful and it’s fantastical and it’s dreamy and it’s every girl’s fantasy to have that moment. But I don’t know that I need that to feel like I’m in a partnership that’s working.”
Despite this, she has been a supportive partner to Udoka and was seen earlier this spring congratulating him via Twitter with a celebratory dance after his team moved on to play in the NBA Finals.

Neither Long nor Udoka have publicly responded to the allegations at the moment. But Long did recently post a video to her Instagram story.
“When you see people change their whole life and start walking down a path of enlightenment, hugging trees, connecting with nature, loving themselves, embracing positivity, letting that light shine, the video says. “ Understand one thing: that light that you see, understand one thing about that light: they had to go into the darkness to get it. No shadow, no light, know shadow, know light”.
