Reunited and it feels so good! Chloe x Halle, the world's favorite singing-sister duo – who spent a lot of time together at the beginning of quarantine performing on their infamous tennis court and hosting tea time on Instagram live – have spent the last few months apart from one another but the good news is now they're back and better than ever. This week, the Bailey sisters put their separation rumors to rest after Halle confirmed that she finally wrapped filming for the live-action version of The Little Mermaid in Europe and is finally back home in the states with her sister.
On Wednesday (July 14), Chloe tweeted the news writing "halle’s home" with several crying and heart eyes emojis. Being more quiet on social media than normal, fans assumed that meant she was away spending time with her other half and she confirmed tweeting, "YUP!!!! purrrrrr my bestie back."
Earlier this week, Halle reflected on her time filming overseas in a post on her socials that read, "and just like that..that’s a wrap ❤️after auditioning for this film when i was 18 just about to turn 19 , to now finishing filming through a pandemic when i turned 21 ..we have finally made it...💖i feel so grateful to have experienced this film in all of its glory..it has been the toughest experience being away from everything and everyone i’ve ever known, to feeling self doubt/ loneliness, but also feeling such freedom and perseverance as i’ve reached the end. this experience has made me so much stronger than i ever thought i could be. i cannot wait for time to speed up so you all can watch this film because it was made with so much love (plus blood sweat and tears)."
Like most sisters, Chloe and Halle have done some growing in their own lives and careers not being attached at the hip – whether it was music, movies or TV shows. Though many of us associate the two as a singing duo, they've done just fine establishing their own paths as individuals and we love the maturation we've witnessed this year alone. While Halle was off making history as the second Black Disney princess, Chloe was right here in the U.S. holding it down and introducing a new side of herself to the world.
Since making separate Instagram and Twitter pages at the beginning of the year, Chloe has ruffled quite a few feathers with her risqué posts, but honestly sis has been out here living her best life and we fully support it. The same can be said for Halle as well who, make no mistake about her new Disney reputation, wants to remind the world that she's still very grown and allowed to do whatever she wants no matter who has an opinion about it.
We're glad to see these two back together in the flesh again and our only hope now is that they'll be back in the studio working on their next musical masterpiece. In case you missed it, check out their latest Instagram live together.
