Our latest hair obsession comes in the form of waves that feature drama, softness and endless swag — and can be seen on H.E.R.’s head.

R&B artist, Gabriella ‘Gabi’ Wilson, better known as H.E.R. (which is an acronym for Having Everything Revealed) has been singing since she was a little girl. According to Genius, she’s had performances featured on shows like Maury for their "Most Talented Kids" episode as well as an appearance on The Today Show, Good Morning America and The View, which ended up going viral.

H.E.R. also performed at this year’s B.E.T. Awards and while we couldn’t get enough of her stunning voice, we also couldn’t keep our eyes off of her gorgeous hair. The genius behind the signature waves is celebrity makeup artist and hairstylist Monaè Everett — who also styles stars like Cynthia Erivo, Nomzamo Mbatha, Daniella Perkins and Sonequa Martin.

Most recently, Everett styled H.E.R.’s hair for the August issue of Rolling Out magazine. For the editorial shoot, which Everett mentions she loves styling for, she created waves that fall down to her mid-back. While the look may seem simple, Everett captured H.E.R.’s music, persona and swag perfectly for the magazine cover.

"For the Rolling Out shoot, I sprayed her damp hair with Ouidad’s Advanced Climate Control Detangling Spray and applied the Ouidad’s Advanced Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel using the rake and shake technique. I diffused her hair with the BabylissPRO blow dryer," Everett shared on how she created the look for H.E.R. "After the hair was dry, I sprayed the hair with Oribe Heat Lacquer spray and a little Ouidad Mongongo Oil Multi-Use Curl Treatment. Next, I used the BabylissPRO Nano Titanium 3/4" curling iron to touch up any loose curls. I used a wide tooth comb to pick apart the curls and add fullness."

Finally, she finished the look with IGK Laid Back Defrizz and Anti-Static Spray.
