Beyhive members woke up this morning to some more than exceptional news. Beyoncé’s seventh studio album is on it’s way!

At 1:22 this morning, Tidal (formerly owned by husband, Jay-Z) tweeted out just a black screen that simply says “act i   RENAISSANCE,” along with a message “Beyoncé RENAISSANCE July 29.” Spotify and Apple Music tweeted out similar messages as well, getting fans hype for the drop next month.

Queen Bey’s Twitter and Instagram bios all have the words “act i RENAISSANCE” as well.

Partnered with the album release date announcement, the Queen also covered British Vogue. The singer helped come up with the inspiration behind the shoot itself. British Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful described the look of the shoot as “fashion fantasia spun from the tropes of club life during the last century’s final quarter.” British Vogue was also able to get a listen of the new album. Enninful says the singer’s “soaring vocals and fierce beats” are stunning and definitely something to look forward to (as if we need more of a reason to be excited).

The news of the album may come as a surprise to some but true Beyhive members have learned how to spot a Beyoncé drop when it’s on its way. After Beyoncé changed the music streaming game in 2013 by dropping her self titled album with no warning, fans have made sure to do their due-diligence to spot the signs so that they aren’t caught off guard again.

Just last Thursday, the singer removed her profile picture from all of her social media accounts, and fans immediately caught on. Many members of the hive even stayed up until midnight (since new music typically drops on Fridays) to see if Beyoncé would grace us with another surprise album.

Fans no longer have to wait! Mark your calendars, Beyoncé is on her way and will be here July 29th! Renaissance will feature 16 new tracks from the singer. On her website, you can pre-order a box set that includes a cd, t-shirt, a 28-page photo booklet, and a mini poster.
