In the series Cross, set in Washington D.C., Aldis Hodge plays a detective whose plight is navigating life as a hero and family man. Away from screen, he also has a family that he holds near and dear.
Hodge has become a go-to actor in the industry, stirring a certain amount of attention. In 2018, he met who fans believe may have been a love interest: artist Harmonia Rosales.
Around the same time, he was featured in a few articles alongside Rosales regarding their art collaborations. Described as “#CoupleGoals” six years ago, their relationship status now remains unknown.
Rosales, an Aro-Cuban Chicagoan, produces work that focuses on the empowerment of Black women. Their collaborations include “Through the Looking Glass” and “Frontier Works: Bottle Impressions in the Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Lounge."
While their rumored romance might not have lasted, their creative projects live on.
Since the articles in 2018, no other news of joint projects or romantic connection has circulated. They have not been spotted together publicly and are not seen in any feed posts on each other’s social media profiles.
While keeping his personal life private, Hodge has spoken to his character Alex Cross being a family man enduring grief and mental illness, which he compared to his own experience as a father.
In an interview with The Grio, he said, “My daughter is the one who’s brought up all these things for me to basically really want to be a better man… My little mama is my whole world.”
“Honestly, as scary as it is on a regular basis...I have the most ease and the most confidence when it comes to my daughter."
It appears that (gushing about) acting and fatherhood are Hodge's priorities at the moment.
