Chloe Bailey is a singer, actor, dancer and producer who began her career as a young musical prodigy. She is widely known as one half of the duo Chloe x Halle, but also operates as a solo artist.

Chloe Bailey was born in Atlanta on July 1, 1998. The "Have Mercy" hitmaker's first introduction into the entertainment business came when she worked as a child actor.

She appeared in films such as The Fighting Temptations (2003) as well as others like Last Holiday (2006) and Meet the Browns (2008) alongside her sister Halle.

Chloe and Halle later stepped into the world of music in 2011 by posting song covers on Youtube. They covered popular hits of the time like Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake” and Lorde’s “Royals.”

This was when the world discovered their musical talent, specifically with their viral cover of Beyoncé's “Pretty Hurts" in 2013. It eventually reached Queen B and she signed the sisters to Parkwood Entertainment in 2015.

Chloe x Halle moved on from posting covers to creating their own original music. Their contemporary R&B sound is renowned for being experimental and blending their mesmerizing harmonies.

Together they have created two successful studio albums, The Kids Are Alright (2018) and Ungodly Hour (2020) with many songs produced by Chloe. The latter album charted in the top 20 of the Billboard 200.

Touring with Beyoncé and on their own brought them even more success. Additionally, the two revisited their acting roots, most notably playing sisters Jazz and Sky on the series Grown-ish from 2018-2022.

You’d think it would be hard to break out on your own after Grammy nominations and more within a duo. However, Chloe Bailey did exactly that when she debuted her solo music in 2021 with the hit single “Have Mercy.”

With this new song, Chloe re-established herself in music. She later released her debut solo album In Pieces in 2023 and went on her first solo tour. Her second album Trouble In Paradise was released in 2024.

Chloe also ventured into solo acting, leading the 2023 musical Praise This. She’s taken on other roles like Marissa in the Prime Video series Swarm and Blake in the 2024 horror movie The Excorcism.
