If you've been on TikTok this year, it is likely that you've seen the trending 'Can't Get Knafeh It,' also known as Dubai chocolate.

The trend was founded in Dubai by British-Egyptian entrepreneur Sarah Hamouda. Her vision was to create unique chocolate confections, focusing on fillings to set her company apart from competitors.

'Can’t Get Knafeh of It'

You might have also heard that it’s incredibly expensive, with bars costing up to $63.

That is why we are sharing the steps to make this delicacy. This way you get to enjoy your cravings while protecting your pockets.

Milk Chocolate; White chocolate (optional) Butter Kataifi Dough Pistachio paste Food Coloring Tahini

Ingredients

Cut the shredded kataifi dough into shorter strands then melt butter in a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. Stir the kataifi until it is brown, allowing your kataifi to get crispy.

Take the mixture off the heat and mix it with pistachio paste and tahini to create a kataifi-covered pistachio cream.

Use two pots to melt the milk chocolate and the white chocolate separately. Add a drop of food coloring to the melted white chocolate, and mix to get the color you want.

Prepare Chocolate

Alternate drizzling the colored white chocolate and the milk chcocolate to the inside of a chocolate bar mold, covering the bottom layer.

After freezing the first layer of chocolate, add in the pistachio cream with kataifi. You can use the back of a spoon to push the filling around to ensure you’re getting in the nooks and crannies.

Assemble Layers

Place the molds back in the freezer for another ten minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set. Remove the mold carefully, and it’s time to eat.

Feel free to add your own spin to your chocolate. Add roasted almonds if you want your Dubai chocolate even crunchier, or get extra gourmet by infusing the chocolate with a few drops of rose water.

Get Creative With It

Lastly, if you want the Dubai chocolate to last longer than two months, you will need to place it in the freezer.
