DIY Mask for Dewy, Glass-Like Skin

BY KRISTEN GARRIDO

Glass skin – a trend originating from Korean skincare – is all about achieving a complexion that looks dewy, smooth and radiant, like glass.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating and using a mask to help you get that luminous glass skin effect.

This mask will use a blend of honey, aloe vera gel and rose water. Honey is moisturizing, while aloe vera soothes and hydrates. Finally, rose water tones and brightens.

Ingredients

You’ll need 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and a few drops of rose water. Mix these ingredients in a small bowl.

Prepare Ingredients

Before applying the mask, start with a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt or makeup.

Cleanse Your Skin

Using clean fingers or a soft brush, apply a thin layer of the honey, aloe vera and rose water mask all over your face.

Apply Mask

Allow the mask to sit on your skin for about 15-20 minutes. This gives the honey and aloe vera time to hydrate and nourish.

Relax

Gently rinse off the mask with lukewarm water. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel, being careful not to rub, as this can irritate the skin.

Rinse

Apply a hydrating toner to help close your pores and balance your skin's pH level. Toning also helps to lock in the moisture from the mask.

Toner

Apply a lightweight, hydrating moisturizer to seal in all the benefits of the mask. A dewy moisturizer is perfect for enhancing the glass-skin look.

Moisturize for a Dewy Finish

Here’s to radiant, dewy skin that shines like glass.
