Oatmeal is known for its ability to soothe dry and irritated skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce redness and itching.
Start by grinding your oats in a blender or food processor to create a fine powder. If you don't have a grinder, instant oats will also work well for this mask.
In a small bowl, combine the ground oats, honey, yogurt and olive oil. Stir until you get a smooth, paste-like consistency.
Using clean hands or a brush, apply the oatmeal mixture evenly to your face, avoiding the eyes and mouth.
Leave the mask on your face for 10-15 minutes. During this time, the oatmeal works to calm your skin, while the honey and yogurt provide moisture and nourishment.
Afterward, rinse the mask off with lukewarm water. Use gentle circular motions to exfoliate as you rinse, helping to remove dead skin cells and revealing smoother skin.
