Random Acts of Kindness Week is encourages people to spread good vibes. This year it's celebrated from Feb. 9-15, with Random Acts of Kindness Day falling on Feb. 17.
1. Stick little positive notes around the house for family members to find, or leave them in a public space. 2. Pay for the person behind you in a coffee shop or drive-thru.
3. Give a genuine compliment to someone. 4. Give away clothes, books or toys to those in need. 5. Leave a positive review or tip extra at a local business.
6. Check on a friend or neighbor – A simple "How are you?" can mean a lot. 7. Send handwritten letters or thank-you notes to people who’ve made a difference in your life.
8. Leave a basket of snacks with a thank-you note for delivery drivers. 9. Clean up the community by picking up litter. 10. Give back to the planet by planting a tree or flowers.
11. Surprise your coworkers with treats like donuts or coffee. 12. Shoutout a colleague's hard work in a meeting or company email. 13. Offer to assist a coworker with a project or workload.
14. Give someone a gift or small token of appreciation. 15. Chat with nursing home residents or bring flowers. 16. Volunteer at a shelter by serving meals or donate supplies.
17. Leave flowers on the doorstep of a stranger, neighbor or friend as a sweet surprise. 18. Set up a "Take a book, leave a book" box. 19. Write uplifting messages on the sidewalk with chalk.
20. Send a message to a friend or family member to say you appreciate them. 21. Be extra patient while driving, waiting in line or with customer service. 22. Hold the door open for someone.
23. Tape quarters or a dollar to a vending machine for someone in need. 24. Donate blood. 25. Say thank you more often to cashiers, delivery drivers or anyone helping you out.
26. Offer to return someone's shopping cart for them. 27. Write a kind message on social media to spread positivity. 28. Surprise a loved one with breakfast in bed.
29. Do a chore or favor without being asked or offer a family member a night off. 30. Set up a home spa night for your partner with candles and a massage. 31. End the day with "I love you" or "I appreciate you."
