Self-care is about prioritizing your well-being. That can be done in many different ways– some are fun while others will bring you relief when completed.
To make prioritizing your wellness more exciting, create a self-care bingo card complete with some of the following ideas.
Take a 20-minute walk outside, do a 10-minute stretch or yoga session, drink a full glass of water, prepare a healthy, nourishing meal, take a long shower or bath or spend 15 minutes tidying up your space.
Journal for five minutes about your thoughts, write down three things you’re grateful for, spend 30 minutes reading, meditate or sit in silence for 10 minutes or say "no" to something that doesn’t serve you.
Call or text a loved one, brighten someone’s day, spend time with animals or nature, schedule a meet-up with a friend or set boundaries (at work, at home, in a relationship).
Draw, paint or doodle for 15 minutes, try a new hobby or skill, dance to your favorite songs, do a puzzle or brain game, cook or bake something new or spend an hour doing something that sparks joy.
Light a candle and relax, listen to calming music, practice deep breathing exercises, spend five minutes saying positive affirmations, unplug from social media for the day or watch the sunset/stargaze.
Treat yourself to your favorite snack, buy yourself a small gift, wear your favorite outfit or cozy pajamas, give yourself a manicure or skincare treatment or plan a small trip or outing for yourself.
Fill a bingo card with a grid (e.g., 3x3, 4x4 or 5x5) filled with self-care activities in each square online or on paper.
Perform the activities in the squares during your chosen time frame and mark off each square as you complete it (similar to traditional bingo).
Treat yourself to a reward when you cross off the self-care items in a pattern, whether that be a full row, column, diagonal or the entire card.
