22 -year-old multi-hyphenate Yara Shahidi’s newest endeavor takes shape in her Facebook Watch original series titled, Yara Shadidi’s Day Off premiering Thursday, September 29. The show is a collaborative production between Jesse Collins Entertainment and 7th Sun Production (a production studio run by Yara and her mother).

The 8-episode series will follow the lives of Yara and her celebrity friends as they take part in various activities from horseback riding to designer sneaker shopping. Guests on the show will include Amanda Seales, Liz Koshy, Nas, Chole Kim, Swae Lee, Elsa Majimbo, Alton Mason, and Tik Tok’s #1 creator Khaby Lame.

Throughout the series, Shahidi will learn about the hobbies and passions of her famous friends outside their acclaim. Asking them questions like : “What is the one question that no one ever asks, that you wish they would?”

Since the launch of Shahidi’s production company 7th Sun in 2020 with her mother Kerri Salter-Shahidi, the company has made it its mission to uplift diverse and inclusive storytelling. Just recently the production company extended its deal with ABC Signature to continue to produce shows for broadcast, streaming and television

Yara Shadidi’s Day Off will be in good company with the various array of Facebook Watch original shows, most notably the Emmy-award-winning Red Table Talk series.

The adventure-filled 8-part series is set to air weekly and exclusively on Facebook Watch beginning Thursday, September 29.
