Summit 21 2019 was a success!

More than 1,500 women of color came together for a two-day summit in Atlanta this weekend hosted by 21Ninety and the Blavity, Inc. team. Attendees heard from a BOSS line up of women on how to level up, secure the bag and live their best lives. All the gems were dropped!

Speakers included Rep. Maxine Waters, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Karrueche Tran, Ashley Blaine Featherson and so many more! Plus, the expo floor brought all the magic as women were greeted with special installations including an art gallery showcasing the work of Black artists, a hair and touch up station with talented beauticians, a bookstore featuring releases from Black authors as well as “a beauty lane” showcasing products from several small Black-owned businesses. Plus, there was Chateau 21, a specially curated space where all women were given the opportunity to stock up on hair care and body products — for free!

On top of it all, there was a full out dance and hoolah hoop session on the expo floor as women let loose to display all their joy unapologetically. After all, why can’t women who want to level up squeeze in a lil' twerk session when they want? Dance away, sis!

If you weren’t able to make it, don’t worry — we announced that Summit 21 LA is next up in October! Don’t miss out, get your tickets today. And if you want a glimpse of what to expect, here are some photos that capture the magic from this year’s summit:
