If you're having insecurities about your body, you're not alone. Everyone probably wants to change at least one thing about their physique. But unfortunately, you can't just wave a magic wand and make the undesired parts go away. Luckily, you can exercise to enhance and tone up what's already there. Want washboard abs? You'll need to work out your lower body. Trying to achieve a slimmer waist? A full-body workout should do the trick.

Follow these exercises to start seeing the natural curves you've been hiding underneath.

1. LEG LIFTS

Get on all fours, with your hands and knees touching the ground. Slowly lift your right leg. Tighten your glutes as you lift. Then, slowly bring your leg back to the original position. Repeat the same steps with your other leg. Do 10 reps for each leg.

Leg lifts are great for enhancing curves because they strengthen the hip muscles. They help tone the hips and increase muscle size, giving you the appearance of wider hips.

2. SQUATS

Stand straight with your feet hip-width apart and place your hands on your hips. Then, gently pull your shoulders back and slightly lift your chest. Next, lower down, like you're about to sit in a chair. As you do this, try to keep your body as straight as possible. Straighten your legs to lift yourself back up. Do three sets of about 10 reps.

Squats are great for toning your hip muscles as well as shaping your glutes and thighs.

3. FORWARD LUNGES

Stand with your legs around 8 inches apart. Step forward with one leg and bend it slightly, Hold that position for a few seconds and then, go back to the starting position.  Repeat the same steps with the other leg. Do 10 reps. For even better results, use a dumbbell.

Lunges are effective in enhancing curves because they not only build lean muscle mass in your thighs and buttocks, but they also work your core and abdominals.

Achieving the perfect curvy body isn't impossible. But it's important to be realistic, embrace your natural curves, and focus on loving your body.
