Stress is a never-ending epidemic. Our lives can induce stress in so many different forms. So how do we cope with stress? How do we find and maintain our peace?

Here are some stress relieving tips that will ensure your sanity:

1. Set the Mood

If you are tense or feeling uptight, the best remedy is a hot bubble bath. Soak in a bath enriched with Shea Butter, add a few drops of lavender oil, and throw in some Epsom salt or a bath bomb. Taking a hot bubble bath is both soothing and calming. It also enables you to clear your mind. Do a clay face mask and drink a hot cup of Chamomile tea. Play some jazz music and light a few candles to really set the mood.

2. Unplug

Our society stays glued to social media and everyone is super attached to their phones. There is no denying that we live in a digital age, but it can all be so tiring. Social media has a huge impact on your emotional and mental behavior. Sometimes it's necessary to take frequent breaks from Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Sometimes it's even necessary to take a break from your phone. Go outside, go for a walk or a run, read a good book, volunteer somewhere, book that flight to Spain, do something that will contribute to your peace instead of diminishing it.

3. Try Something New

Stress tends to be attracted to routine. Living habitually can lead to high stress levels. Adventure out of your "norm" and learn something new. Sign up for that salsa dancing class or that aerial yoga class. Learn a new language or learn how to play an instrument. Subscribe to a meal delivery and learn how to cook something new. Learning something new will always give you a sense of accomplishment and it helps you to refocus.

4. Laugh, Girl, Laugh!

Laughter is such great medicine. It can instantly change your mood from stank to happy-happy-joy-joy. Watch a really funny movie, maybe host a movie night and invite some friends over. Or go out and socialize, grab a glass of wine and hang out with those friends who make you laugh until you cry. Life is too short to be upset all the time. Laughter promotes joy and joy alleviates stress. So, laugh your booty off, girl!

5. Catch Some ZZZs

Sleep is so lovely and it's a basic necessity. But many of us do not get enough sleep. Five hours is not enough sleep. Not getting enough sleep is the fastest way to feel cranky and moody. Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep every night. You will wake up refreshed and motivated to take on the day. Your day will flow much more smoothly when you are well-rested.

I hope these tips help you to be more unbothered. I hope they help you to find your peace and maintain it. Because peace is something we all need to live our life to the fullest.
