Waking up in the morning without the desire to tackle your hair for the day is a feeling many people know all too well. Sometimes your bonnet fell off in the middle of the night and now your hair is out of sorts. Other times, you’ve just been avoiding wash day for quite some time and it’s caught up to you. Your hair could also be perfectly fine, you just may not feel like having it in your face that day. Luckily, headscarves can be your saving grace. Not only do they shield your tresses from any further turmoil, but they also allow you to express your personal style effortlessly. Here are seven creative ways to tie a headscarf on days when you’d rather not bother with your hair.

Headscarf Styles

First up is the pineapple wrap. This simple but classy wrap style is perfect for the days when you want nothing touching your neck or your face. What’s great about this particular form is that it embodies the ease of a ponytail look but with style! You can opt to have as much or as little pit of hair out at the top to really achieve a pineapple look.

The turban style is a perfect go-to for when you don’t want any hair showing at all. The cousin of the pineapple, the turban effortlessly hides all of your hair but still gives you the crown you deserve.

The top knot is yet another great go-to for when you want to spice up your look and add length to your crown. The top knot is much simpler than its family members, the turban and the pineapple.

The low bun knot, sister of the top knot, is arguably one of the biggest go-to’s for those who don’t want to be bothered by their hair. This style is just as simple as the top knot bun but those who opt for this look typically want a more clean look at the top of their heads.

This next style is perfect for those who want to show off their hair just a tad but not the roots. This twisted crown style is easily achievable. You’d place the scarf over your head and twist the two tail ends around the circumference of your head in opposite directions. Then, when finished, tuck the ends under each other.

The halo is such a classy look and doesn’t require much effort either. Similar to the twisted crown style, the halo is achieved by placing the scarf over your head. Instead of taking the two tail ends, however, you’d turn it into one tail and twist around the circumference of your head and tuck it under itself.
