Singer and musician, Alicia Keys, is stepping back into the world of cosmetics – and what would be a better time to share this information than at the 2022 Met Gala?

Just last night, the 41-year-old decided to enhance her red carpet glam with new products from the Keys Soulcare makeup line, as she stepped out rocking a Ralph Lauren dress, accessorized with the New York City skyline.

Although the collection, named Skin Color Hybrid, has not yet been released to the world, it has been shared that it consists of a “cheek tint, lip balm, brow gel, illuminating primer serum and complexion brush,” which each range between the price points of $15 to $22.

And much like Keys’ red carpet glam, we can assume that the collection will place natural, minimalistic beauty at its forefront.

Before attending the Gala, Keys took to her Instagram stories to share the news with her 23 million followers.

“I’m so excited because today I’m launching the ‘Skin Color Hybrid’ with Keys Soulcare and it’s all about skincare,” she shared. “So it’s good for your skin but it has this little pop of buildable color, so you can use a little or you can use a lot. You can do it however you want. And we call it ‘Make It You,’ because it’s your choice how you want to vibe and how you want to look.”

Keys’ infamously swore off the use of cosmetics back in 2016, when she decided to take a stand against, what she called, the world’s “oppressive beauty standards.”

“I was taking on tremendously oppressive beauty standards that I thought somehow applied to me in regards to being perfect and I obviously rebelled against that,” she shared in a recent interview with WWD.

But today, her mindset has evolved.

“I found my way around to the fact that I get to create my beauty standard, I get to choose what beauty is to me, and how I want to express that,” she stated.
