Ever since Cardi B welcomed her son on Sept. 4, 2021, fans everywhere have been dying to get a look at the rapper’s bundle of joy.
And now, their wishes have finally been answered.
Cardi took to Instagram yesterday evening to share with her 127 million followers a first look at her and husband Offset’s baby boy, who the pair have named Wave Set Cephus. At only seven months old, Wave is already stuntin’ like his momma – and looking just like his sister Kulture! The infant was pictured rocking a blue fur coat and glistening wave diamond chain.View this post on Instagram
Offset followed suit and shared his own shots of baby Wave Set shortly after.

The shoot featured Cardi, Offset, Wave Set, their 3-year-old daughter Kulture, Offset’s 7-year-old daughter Kalea, Offset’s 7-year-old son Kody, and Offset’s twelve-year-old son Jordan.

Jordan (born December 21, 2009 in Los Angeles) is Offset’s first child, who he had at the age of seventeen with Justine Watson. According to Cosmopolitan, adjusting to fatherhood was difficult for the rapper and it took him a while to find himself, and “what it meant to be a father.”

Kody whose mother is ex-girlfriend Oriel Jamie, was born March 2, 2015, right when the rapper was on the cusp of fame.
Kody resembles his father the most, both in looks and personality. He aspires to be a rapper and exhibits an “easy-going” demeanor like his father.

In the accompanying interview with Essence, Cardi revealed how she manages the blended family – the idea to actually include Offset’s older children in the shoot was actually Cardi’s idea. The rapstress shared that while she doesn’t want to “disturb” her relationship with their mothers, she doesn’t want any of Offset’s children to feel “left out.”
“After we got married, that’s when I first met his kids,” Cardi shared. “I always wanted them to love me and they really do. They tell me that. I feel it, and I hope that we always have a great relationship.”
Both Cardi and Offset are no strangers to blended families. Offset is one of three brothers who each have separate fathers, and Cardi and her sister Hennessy have six more siblings on their father’s side – something that motivated Cardi, even more, to forge a strong bond with Offset’s children.
“It’s a blessing to be able to have them all together, and to have a wife who’s open and treats them as if they’re her kids,” Offset shared. “It could be an issue, but I don’t have to go through that, and that’s beautiful.”
As for the “You’re just another baby momma” stigma that surrounds women who choose to have a child with a man who has already fathered children from multiple women, Cardi revealed that she’s had her fair share of dealing with the same sentiments. But once she had their first child, Kulture, she felt like things were going to be “alright.”
“It’s hard for me to explain, but I see how he loves his kids and how passionate he is about his kids, and I love that,” Cardi shared.
Cheers to more covers with the Cephus family!
