ColourPop has been bringing color to our lives since 2014 and the fan-favorite beauty brand shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. From their shade-ranging concealer line to their complimentary lip colors and collabs with influencers such as Ellarie, Karrueche and Eva Gutowski, ColourPop stays on top by giving their consumers quality products without breaking the bank.
Next in line to the ColourPop collab-throne is makeup artist/YouTuber/beauty influencer Shayla Mitchell, widely known as MakeupShayla. In an interview with Allure, Mitchell said she was able to have creative control over her collection and never heard the word "no" while working with the beauty brand.
"I was spilling out my ideas and they said, 'yeah let’s do it, let’s do it.' They were 100 percent supportive and encouraging of all my ideas," Mitchell told Allure. "The pink, the splatter — everything. I would say that was one of the best parts of this collection. They let me express myself and encouraged it."
When asked which products or colors were her favorite, Mitchell compared the question to asking a parent which child is their favorite — an impossible question to answer, but she assured fans that she loves every product in her collab with ColourPop and hopes buyers will feel the same.
"I also want people to know that this palette is for everyone. When I created it, I didn’t just create it for my skin tone, I created it for all skin tones. It was really important for this collection to be inclusive," Mitchell said.
