For many of us, these COVID years have either:

-made us unsettled with our 9 to 5’s and now we are seeking greater fulfillment in doing what we love

-with all this free time on our hands, it has brought about new and exciting business ideas, that you just can’t shake

-or maybe it has made you realize that nothing is guaranteed and one check just isn’t enough for financial security

Whatever your case, it's 2022, a new year, and there is no better time than now to start your business to bring greater fulfillment and money into your life. So, if you’re ready to level up and bring your dreams to reality, I want to share with you my go to framework that I use time and time again to overcome my fears and doubts and take big leaps. Going through these steps has helped me, start my first business two weeks after college, do a TedTalk, invite top entrepreneurs such as Danielle Leslie, Brandice Daniel, Renae Bluitt and more to my home for my talk show, The Journey with Blue, increase my revenue and now support other women to take the leap. This is a sure way to help you get out of your head and into action to create results bigger than ever.

Step 1: Get Clear on What Do You Want and Commit

“What do you want?” …I know this seems like a simple question and I know you are already saying, “Blue, of course I know what I want”.

But do you really?

Take the time and ask yourself, “What does your business look like?” “What does it feel like?” “How much money are you comfortably bringing in each month?” “What lives are you able to impact from your work?” “How do you enjoy your time off?”

Get as specific as possible and feel as if it's already present. The truth is, the universe only knows how to say ‘yes’, so make the vision clear and claim it.

Once you have the clarity around what it is that you want to create, it is time to COMMIT.

So many times, we find ourselves watering down our vision because we start to question, where will the money, the resources, the contacts come from?

It’s not your job to figure out the HOW but it is up to you to determine your WHAT and make an undeniable commitment to making it happen.

2. Break Free From Negative & Limiting Beliefs

I always like to ask “Who is bursting your bubble?”. So many times we think other people are the ones criticizing, judging or telling us what we can and can’t do but so often, the reality is, we are bursting our own bubble. We are our own worst critic.

You are whatever you tell yourself you are and your thoughts create your reality, so it’s important we do a hard rewire around any of the negative and limiting thoughts that we tell ourselves. So whenever the negative thoughts start to creep up, it’s time to shut it down! I want you to immediately affirm yourself in your truth and possibility.

Remember, everything is birthed in the mind. I think it's time we start protecting it at all costs.

3. WHY, WHY, WHY

When I was in college, I used to listen to Simon Sineck talk about ‘Start with Why’ and I never truly understood the importance of gaining clarity of your ‘why’ until I went through the challenges of starting and growing my first business.

When I was getting more ‘nos’ than ‘yeses’, when my bank account was more zeros than dollars, even when I went through a $40,000 loss in my business and questioned if I could do this and wanted to give up, my ‘why’ always came back to remind me of what I was doing this work for and why I was on this ‘Journey’.

I’m not going to lie to you, there is no way around failures but when your ‘why’ is bigger than your challenges, it will ground you even in the face of these obstacles and will keep you pushing forward to see it through.

So drill deep and uncover your ‘why?’…you’ll thank me later.

4. Who Do You Need to Be?

I think we all have these visions around the women that we will become once we have the success, have reached our goals or made the money of our dreams, that then and only then, will we magically become fearless, bold and confident. But the reality is, we get this all wrong. Instead we need to think about, ‘Who do I need to be now, in order to do the things I need to do, so that I can have the things I want to have.’

Think about what character traits do you need to put on in order to show up and accomplish your dream?

You get to start showing up as that fearless, bold and confident woman now, not later.

(I have had conversations with multi-millionaires on my show The Journey with Blue and one thing they all will say is that they showed up as their million dollar selves even before they have the millions. MAJOR KEY: The work starts within.)

Step 5: Take the Leap!

It’s time to take the leap! It’s time to take action!

I always say, if it doesn’t scare you, then it's not big enough. It’s time to let your fear, self-doubt and excuses know that it can no longer keep you in a place lesser than yourself. This is your year to go all out and play to win. You owe it to yourself to bring your desires to life.
