In an effort to help women with various hair needs and skin conditions, cosmetologist and hairstylist Jasmine Rilington created her all-natural beauty brand The Glam Room.

Beauty and haircare brand The Glam Room has launched seven years ago after its founder cosmetologist Jasmine Rilington wanted to find a way to improve the health of her client’s hair.

“I was inspired to create my haircare line after years of doing my client’s hair and seeing how a lot of my clients would come to get their hair done but wouldn’t really care for the health of their hair,” she tells 21 Ninety.

After giving away several complementary treatments with products that she made by hand, she would later begin to sell her, All Grown Out Hair Growth oil, which was a hit among many of her clients.

The Glam Room’s latest collection on October 1, featured hair care products for women undergoing postpartum, chemotherapy and Alopecia. Within three 3 hours the brand was able to sell through 3,000 units of its 100% natural products featuring ingredients like jojoba, tee tree, and ginseng.

Rilington explains she wanted to create specific products for chemotherapy and postpartum due to her own personal experiences and the experiences of her clients. “I have so many customers who went through chemotherapy and once they tried the products, they experienced so much hair growth,”she says.

Using her knowledge as knowledge as a cosmetologist and her overall understanding of the nature of hair has helped her with crafting her products.

“The key is knowing the science behind hair and what ingredients work best for hair. Many may not know but it’s a whole science when talking about hair, shares Rillgton. “A mix of doing intensive research, going through hair school, studying  and learning the chemistry side of things has helped me to know exactly what to do when creating products.”

In the future, she hopes to expand The Glam Room to the shelves of mainstream beauty stores across the country.

“I pray to have my products in stores, sold in salons, and just for the world to know how amazing they are,” she says.

The Glam Room will restock on products on  November 11 at  TheGlamRoom.net.
