When a celebrity gets their first wax figure, that’s when you know they have made it. Madame Tussauds known for replicating some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry within its walls. The most recent celeb to cement her role in the industry with a replica was Megan Thee Stallion.

Over the weekend, the Houston rapper posed in Las Vegas with her two newly unveiled wax figures. One, will be kept in Las Vegas. It is a replica of the newsprint catsuit and matching cowboy hat outfit she wore on the cover of her 2020 album, “Good News.” Her second figure will be unveiled June 1 in New York and wears a diamante bikini and matching cowboy hat, gauntlets and choker.

In a statement, Megan shared her excitement for having these wax figures made in her honor.

“I feel like people always ask me when was the moment you knew you were famous? This is the moment,” she said. “There are two versions of me in the most famous wax museum on the planet. Like, who am I? Them!”

Although the Megan Thee Stallion figures look amazing, Madame Tussauds sometimes misses the mark when it comes to replicas. However, when the brand gets it right, it’s a chef’s kiss. Here are 5 of the best wax figures of Black women that the company has created.

Rihanna has had several wax figures made by Madame Tussauds. This one replicates the singer during her “Loud” era. The red hair, the shiny outfit as well as her unique cupid’s bow was extremely spot-on for the soon-to-be mommy of two.

Zendaya

Similar to Megan Thee Stallion, Zendaya received a two-for-one at her unveiling. The actress’ wax figure replicas almost gives the illusion that she is one third of triplets.

Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox’s wax figure installation was also a historic moment. Her replica marked the museum’s first transgender figure in honor of 2015’s pride month.
