Black Girls in Media is an organization that focuses on the advancement of Black women in the media industry. Whether you’re interested in being on air, behind the camera, public relations or anything in between, this group is for you! Their membership opportunity provides job openings, tips on how to boss up in your field and insight into the industry. They also host many events including their annual Black Girls in Media Conference.
Black Women In Media
Black Women in Media is a brand that focuses on highlighting Black women in the media industry. They host many events that bring out a slew of women in the media industry. One of their biggest events, the Black Women in Media Conference and Awards, is designed to connect and celebrate Black women in media from all over the nation.
Hybrid Host Workshop
The Hybrid Host Workshop is a brand that specifically targets individuals who want to be on-air hosts. Founded by two Black women, the brand is a resource to help connect Black women in media to the tools needed to succeed on air. The organization offers a 12-week course once a year in the fall as an intensive for students who want to aggressively break into the on-air world. Once a student graduates, they have the opportunity to join the alumni membership. Alumni membership includes access to job postings, weekly office hours with their mentors, mind, body and spirit enrichment programs and monthly group accountability calls.
Women For The Culture
Women For The Culture is a brand that focuses on uplifting and highlighting women who are in the media industry. The brand hosts many Instagram Live chats with boss women who are shaking things up in their respective realms. The organization often posts tips for women in the industry and daily motivations to keep going.
