Aaliyah Jay is a fashion influencer, makeup guru, and content creator who is always sharing her beauty secrets and putting the girls onto the game!

If you’re unfamiliar, then you should know that over the last ten years Jay has cultivated an audience of over four million followers across all social media platforms – which even includes the likes of celebrities such as Nicki Minaj, Lori Harvey, and Latto.

Earlier this year, Jay stepped into the role of fashion designer and unveiled her brand, Twisted Saints, to the world. The brand’s first collection featured three pieces which were skin-tight leather pants, a ribbed blue and yellow bodycon dress, and a multi-color mesh, long sleeve top. The launch was met with extreme excitement from Jay’s followers and now she is gearing up to release future collections.

Despite venturing out and expanding her brand, Jay always has her hands in the beauty world. Last week, the “it-girl” sat down with Allure and shared her ten-minute beauty routine for those who deal with dry skin like herself.

Keep reading for a step-by-step breakdown of Jay’s quick and easy beauty routine!

Moisturize

Jay begins her beauty routine by reaching for Nivea’s Face and hand Moisturizing Cream. She explains, “I use Nivea cream because it’s super hydrating, it has a lot of oils in it, and it’s really, really heavy. And for dry skin, I need the maximum strength of oil.”

Brows

Jay moves onto brows and explains that’s currently growing her eyebrows out to make them thicker and fuller. So she likes to clean them up by applying Too Faced’s Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer. She shares, “I like to shape my brows before I actually fill them in – because it just gives it a frame. It just shapes my face.”

Next she grabs Benefit Cosmetics’ KaBrow! Cream Gel and uses it to fill in the ends of her brows.

Foundation & Concealer

For foundation, Jay reaches for Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Luminous Foundation which she says is great for dry skin. She goes in with a light layer of foundation and uses a beauty blender to even out her skin tone and get into the crevices of her face.

Jay returns to her Too Faced’s Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer and uses the product to target and cover the dark circles under her eyes, as well as other points on her face that she feels needs to be concealed. Next, she blends everything out with the tip of her beauty blender.

A specific make up tip that she shares: don’t forget about concealing your eyelids!

Setting Powder

To set her makeup, Jay reaches for Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder which she “absolutely loves” and believes is a “game-changer.” She takes some product with her beauty blender, dusts any excess off and goes right on top of her concealer to set things in.

She shares, “Usually when you have dry skin, it’s not really that good to bake. Baking usually makes your skin more dry. It’s really good for people who have oily skin.”

Next, she grabs a fluffy brush and goes back into her setting powder and taps it on top of the parts of her face that she covered with foundation.

Bronzer

To bring some color back into her skin, Jay reaches for Benefit Cosmetics’ Hoola Matte Bronzer in the shade Caramel. She applies the product in a patting motion because it helps to place the product with moving or taking away any product that was applied prior.

Mascara

For mascara, Jay reaches for NARS’ Climax Mascara and applies it to her lashes. She shares, “It’s super, super dark and honestly, you only need two coats.”

Finishing Touches

Jay locks her brows in with Benefit Cosmetics’ 24-Hr Brow Setter to ensure that her “brows stay in place all day.” And she finishes things off with Fenty Beauty’s Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in the shade “Glass Slippper.” She shares, “This is like a gloss that you can wear anywhere… I absolutely love it. This is the superior lip gloss in the lip gloss game.”
