Chlöe and Latto join forces for the long-awaited single and dropped a music video along with it.

Rising singer-songwriter Chlöe Bailey delivers a sultry laid-back R&B track with the release of “For The Night”, featuring Latto. The single comes months after the singer teased the single months ago during an Instagram live in May.

The single was highly anticipated by many fans who were painstakingly waiting for news of its release.

On a Twitter Spaces live from earlier this month, the singer revealed that the song was written about rapper Gunna, who is now awaiting trial for a RICO charge.

“Imma tell y’all a little secret about ‘For The Night,’” she said in the Twitter Spaces convo. “I might regret saying this, but hey, maybe it’ll help fu**ing streams. I don’t even think he knows this! I wrote ‘For The Night’ about Gunna.”

The two were rumored to be dating earlier this year, after being spotted holding hands during several outings. The latter released a romantic song together, “You & Me”, with the music video dropping on Valentine’s day. Though both denied being involved, Gunna went on to call them “close friends” in an interview. While Chlöe has always maintained that she is single and solely focused on her career.

The “For The Night” music video which was released simultaneously alongside the single features Chlöe in a mock dance rehearsal, merged with actual tour/performance footage. Latto shines on the track adding her unique southern flare.

“For the Night” provides some insight into what many can expect from Chlöe’s debut album, which has yet to be given a release date but is said to be completed and will be self-tiled.
