For the past nine years of their careers, sister-singing duo Chloe and Halle Bailey have shared the same social media account, but back in January, they announced that they were going solo – online, of course.

The Bailey sisters kicked off the new year with a fresh mindset to start shifting their presence on social media, but what they didn't expect is the well-received response from fans and users alike. According to a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the two shared that they initially started separate accounts online in an effort to still host their beloved joint "Tea Time" Instagram live sessions despite being in different locations – Chloe still in the states while Halle is currently in London filming for the upcoming live-remake of The Little Mermaid. But what came out of this new switch was even more rewarding than the two anticipated.

By creating separate profiles, both Chloe and Halle have been able to establish themselves as individual role models for young girls championing body positivity, self-confidence, and how we can all be our unapologetic selves out-loud. Seemingly enough, the two have created an outlet online that has allowed them the independence they haven't been privy to in previous years as jointed-celebs.

In their Breakfast Club interview, they both agreed that forming personal accounts has made it much easier for them to interact with fans and show off their individual personalities.

"What I really appreciate with Halle and I is even when we are together constantly, we never try to have each other compromise," Chloe shared with radio personality Angela Yee. "We are both so alike and so similar, but we're also so different…And how we are as individuals shine through with our group and people are getting to know us more individually as well."

Their announcement online already caused a stir, but sister Chloe Bailey almost broke the internet with her viral #BussItChallenge that was all the more proof we needed that the Grown-ish co-star was indeed grown herself.

That post alone put a lot more eyes on the dynamic singer, and since then, nearly all of her posts on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok instantly go viral. Despite backlash from some users who claim the singer's posts are too provocative, she has pushed past the haters and continued to post photos and videos proudly showing off her body and angelic voice.

Halle has even started to join in on the fun as well, recently posting her version of the #UpChallenge inspired by rapper Cardi B's latest single.

The journey of self-discovery can be a beautiful thing, and the Bailey sisters are proof of just that. The joy that their shining personalities bring to our timelines every time they post is just a testament to how authenticity will always attract good attention.
