Halle

Halle has been making large strides as well too, and she has the impressive portfolio to prove it. The 22-year-old landed a role in the live-action remake of the “Little Mermaid,” which is set to be open in theaters in May 2023. Before Bailey landed the role, only one other Black person had played a Disney princess, and so with that role, she broke barriers. This isn’t Halle’s first time working in film. She previously starred in “Grown-ish,” and will be adding another credit to her acting repertoire with the “The Color Purple,” which will be a star-studded remake of Alice Walker’s 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. The musical is scheduled to be released in December 20, 2023 by Warner Bros.
