Ciara has emerged as the face of Gap’s new collaboration in partnership with LoveShackFancy. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE Magazine, the Grammy winning singer called the collection “a dream”. The collection is 76-piece capsule ensemble featuring blue floral finishes. The collection is designed for everyone including children and babies.
“ What I love about it is that it intersects the culture of romanticism and merges Gap’s iconic styles with LoveShackFancy’s vintage-inspired florals and feminine silhouette,” Ciara told PEOPLE. “When you get to be a part of brands like the Gaps of the world and LoveShackFancys of the world and pour your personality into it, it’s always a dream.”
A Family Affair
The campaign for the new collection sees the “Level Up” singer posing with two of her children. The eldest, Future, modeled for GAP previously when he was just 3 years old. Daughter Sienna is also part of the campaign. Ciara recalled to PEOPLE how she had once hoped to see her daughter featured by the brand.
“I remember looking at my daughter, taking her to school and I was like, it’d be so amazing if she could do a Gap campaign one day, and, literally, I get a phone call like a week later for us to do this campaign,” she told PEOPLE.
The GAP collection blends the brand’s traditional elements with Ciara’s ever present tomboy style “including the statement-making trench coat and floral-print hoodie dress and jeans.”
“They were so excited. I think what they love is when they get to be with mommy or travel with their parents,” Ciara said of including her kids in the campaign. “This was like a full-on experience. They were super pumped and they looked so amazing in the photos,” she says, adding that she’s “super proud of my babies.”
The new collection will be available for purchase= August 4.
