July has been a non-stop month for City Girls member, JT. The rapper has gone viral from a disagreement between her and partner, Lil Uzi at the BET Awards, she linked up with Nicki Minaj, dropped her first solo single in three years and launched a prison reform site. But she’s not done yet. Now the City Girl is preparing to launch a new clothing line, TheGirlJTWorld.
JT Stepping Into The Fashion World
The rapper announced the launch of the clothing line in an Instagram post.
“TheGirlJTWorld is something I’ve been working a long time for, and something I put my heart into as an expression of self and giving back to my followers,” she wrote in the post. “I’ve felt so much love and support from you guys that I wanted to create something where we could all be together and engage in conversation that combines everything that’s important to me: fashion, music, and more.”
JT continued thanking fans for waiting, supporting and seeing her for who she is.
“[I] hope that y’all will love TheGirlJTWorld just as much as I do. I’m excited to explore fashion more as a lane for myself and can’t wait for you guys to see what I’ve been up to.
She finished the caption by revealing that the first collection is dropping on July 21.
A Busy 2023
This may be the year that JT fully steps into her own. On the same day her new single, “No Bars,” was released, it entered the top 10 on the US iTunes chart.
As for her prison reform efforts, the rapper says she was inspired by her own experiences.
“After spending almost two years in a Florida prison before being released in 2020, JT has vowed to use her voice and platform to help other incarcerated women rehabilitate into society by assisting with resources such as therapy, job placement, social services, and housing,” the message on the site reads.
