In honor of Black History Month, Cricket Wireless has launched its Cricket Cares Capital Grant contest to provide Black entrepreneurs the opportunity to win one of three cash prizes to invest and grow their small business.
As reported on MSN, Vice President of Channel Operations, George Cleveland, revealed in a press release:
"Small businesses are the heart & soul of many communities across the country, providing goods, services and jobs that positively impact customers where they live, work and play. With the launch of our Cricket Cares Capital Grant contest, we hope to help three entrepreneurs grow their business and alleviate some of the challenges they face when applying for funding.” – George Cleveland, MSN reports.
How To Enter
So sis, does your small business need a grant? Enter today! From now through February 8, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. EST, online submissions are being accepted here. According to Cricket Care Capital Grant Official Contest Rules, all entrants "must provide details about their business and its engagement with the local community. All entries will be reviewed and evaluated based on criteria and narrowed down to three finalists." Furthermore, in order to apply, the official contest rules state that entrants must be residents of the following cities:
– Atlanta
– Charlotte
– Chicago
– Cleveland
– Dallas
– Detroit
– Houston
– Los Angeles
– Philadelphia
– New Orleans
– Memphis
– Miami
– New York
– St. Louis
– Washington, DC.
Prizes
Finalists will be announced mid-February, and will be required to record a video describing why they deserve the grant. Each video will then be placed on Cricket’s YouTube channel for public “voting” via Likes and Shares. The top three prizes include:
- 1st Place: $25,000 + A Free Mobile Device with 1-year prepaid service
- 2nd Place: $10,000 + A Free Mobile Device with 6-months prepaid service
- 3rd Place: $5,000 + A Free Mobile Device with 3-months prepaid service
