As much as we love shopping at our local drugstores for necessities and our favorite beauty products, one downside to the drugstore shopping experience has been the inability to test products before purchasing them. Lucky for all of us beauty fans out there, CVS heard our woes and is taking us to the future with its new BeautyIRL stations.

This "shop-in-shop" format is being made possible through a partnership between the major drugstore and Glamsquad, an on-demand beauty company that offers services such as hair, makeup, nails and more all from the comfort of your home. According to Drug Store News, the area will include a #TrendingNow section to showcase new, up-and-coming indie brands, a Mini Must-Haves boutique for all your miniature/travel-sized needs and a Test-and-Play Hygiene Bar for you to test items of interest before committing.

And it doesn’t stop there! At the BeautyIRL station, shoppers can also get the Glamsquad treatment in the middle of their shopping experience. Whether you choose to walk in or book an appointment in advance, you’ll be able to indulge in a blowout, dry-styling, braids, 30-min makeup refreshers, manis, skincare services and more.

I know you are ready to run to CVS right now and try it out, but unless you live in Massachusetts, Connecticut or Florida, you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer. In 2019, CVS hopes to bring this section to its stores across the nation but an official date as to when we will see that happen has not been released as of yet. Also, if in person shopping is not your thing, they will offer the BeautyIRL through an online format as well.
