Fans have been waiting for the birth of Jesseca ‘Judy’ Harris-Dupart and Da Brat’s baby boy and the time has come!
People Magazine received an exclusive report that the rapper gave birth to her son in Atlanta on the evening of July 6. The bundle of joy weighed in at 7pounds, 8 ounces and measuring 20 inches long.
“I can’t BELIEVE he came out of me!” Da Brat told the outlet. “Feels like a dream. He’s PERFECT in every way.” As for how mom is feeling: “Very appreciative for such a blessing of our bundle of joy,” she says. “This journey has been more amazing than we could’ve ever imagined.”
The two originally decided to name their new addition to the family, True Legend Harris-Dupart.
“But now that we’ve met him we are tempted to name him PERFECT,” Brat said. The couple did, however, decide to stick with the name True.
Brat Loves Judy
The married couple have consistently shown how much love they have for one another and how much they support each other. In a conversation with 21Ninety, Harris-Dupart said that she loves that she is able to help Da Brat through the pregnancy, being that she already has three children of her own.
“I think it’s been a blessing. I feel like we have a unique situation where she can have a partner that can say, ‘that’s gonna be all right. Things are fine,’” she said. “I think for me it’s just very satisfying to watch my wife fall in love with our baby along the way, you know, the whole entire time.”
In terms of her pregnancy, Da Brat said that she never expected this for herself, but she has loved the journey to motherhood.
“First of all, I had no idea I would ever be ‘pregnant pregnant.’ So I think when other people were pregnant it was like, oh yeah, they’re pregnant, whatever,” she said. “But it is a major thing like it is like a miracle. Like there’s a person in my belly and there’s another heartbeat happening like inside of me.”
