DaniLeigh is expressing her gratitude to Queen Bey. The rapper, singer-songwriter, dancer and choreographer took to her Instagram to share an appreciation post dedicated to Beyoncé. In her post, DaniLeigh thanked the megastar for allowing her to choreograph dances for her ongoing Renaissance Tour.

A Well-Kept Secret

According to Danileigh’s post, she has had to sit on the news for quite some time.

“Kept this on the DL last year but I’m so grateful to have been apart of some of the choreography for the Queen Beyoncé Renaissance Tour. It was an honor and such a blessing. a dream come true!!! thank you to @beyonce and team, The show looks amazing!!” DaniLeigh wrote on her Instagram account.

Her caption accompanied a screenshot of the Renaissance Tour choreography credits which includes names like the Les Twins, Amari Marshall, Rob Bynes, Kani Diabate and others.

A Prince Mentee

DaniLeigh began dancing as early as age 12 and began singing at age 14. She was known for posting covers of famous songs on YouTube. DaniLeigh landed her official breakthrough after being personally asked by Prince, to direct the music video for “Breakfast Can Wait.” Following the video’s success, Prince began to mentor DaniLeigh until he passed away in 2016.

The Rennaisance Buzz

Beyonce’s ongoing Renaissance Tour kicked off May 10. Since its start the tour hasn’t left the news cycle. Fans have applauded the tour for its over-the-top stage design. Elements include robotics, disco-esque set-ups, elevating contraptions and computerized outfits. People have also lauded the choreography which is inspired by queer ballroom dance styles such as voguing and famous ballroom dancers like Honey Balenciaga. Beyoncé has mentioned that she drew inspiration from several parts of ballroom culture, from dance to sounds developed by queer artists while she was making her “Renaissance” album.
