Almost a month after Jacky Oh’s death, the surgeon who fans believe operated on her prior to her passing is speaking out against the allegations he has recently faced.

Dr. Zachary Okhah met with Jacky Oh for a “mommy makeover” procedure only a few days before her death. He posted a picture of the two together in his office on social media. The post was later deleted, shortly after the news of Jacky Oh’s death surfaced. Now Okhah is reassuring his patients that his “reputation for safety is exemplary.” In a new post on Instagram, the surgeon shared the safety precautions that his office takes.

“Yes, my name has been in the tabloid media and understandably sensationalized given the circumstances,” the surgeon said. “Please understand that due to patient privacy laws, and out of respect for all my patients, there will never be mention of specifics, now or in the future, of any of my cases.”

This is not Okhah first time making a public statement following Jacky Oh’s death. Roughly two weeks after the mother of three died, the doctor posted a statement to his Instagram page but did not actually mention Jacky Oh. Instead he reassured his patients of his commitment to high-quality medical care. The omission, along with deleting the post showing him with Jacky Oh, caused some fans to grow suspicious of the medical provider. The doctor, Thursday, again responded to any doubts about his practice.

“I’m not willing to operate, without exception, if my preoperative protocols for medical clearance are not wholly met,” he explained. “Every procedure is always performed to the highest medical standard and our safety protocols are diligently observed by my entire team.”

He concluded by sharing that he and his team are “currently seeing patients in the office and performing surgeries.”
