Sheryl Lee Ralph’s reaction to her nomination has got all of our eyes sweating! After 50 years in the game, the actress finally got her first Emmy nomination for “Abbott Elementary.”

Issa Rae is also a contender for the same category Quinta is in for Best Lead in a Comedy Series. This is Issa’s second time being nominated in the category for “Insecure”

Zendaya’s performance in “Euphoria” was an obvious shoe in for an Emmy nod, but she is also nominated for original songs. She is also breaking a record for the youngest producing nominee in Emmy Award history. She also is now the youngest two-time lead acting nominee ever.

“A Black Lady Sketch Show” is packing a heavy bag and walking away with five nods! Headed by Robin Thede, the series has had Black women laughing for three seasons.

We’ve already told you once that Lizzo may be having the best year out of all of us and we meant it! She is now an Emmy nominee! Her Prime Video competition series “Watch Out For The Big Grrrls” has been nominated for Best Competition Program.

Our Black queens are winning this year! We can wait to see the outcomes at this year’s Emmy’s which airs Monday September 12th at 8pm EST.
