Early Tuesday afternoon Rihanna revealed on her Instagram that Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin will be dropping in Africa.

Rihanna’s global expansion comes alongside a mission to impact and further diversify the beauty space for all women, especially for women of color. Her outreach to Africa means more than we think it means- By providing accessible beauty and skincare to marginalized communites, the beauty industry can help expand its influence within beauty marketing, body positivity, and women empowerment.

“Makeup is there for you to have fun with. “It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different,” said Rihanna on the Fenty Beauty About page.

Ranging from perfumes with the mantra, “ Smell however the f*ck you want” to her latest Fenty Beauty facial mask, “Cookies N Clean,” the brand is pushing the limits with skin fortifying ingredients engrained with niacinamide (which helps to brighten and even out the skin), SPF sunscreen and hydrating shea butter properties to name a few.
