As Dr. Rosemarie Ingleton told us at the beginning of summer, it is important to switch up your skincare routine at least twice a year to compliment the current season you are in/entering.

“I think switching it with the seasons is a good rule of thumb, like twice a year would be good. In terms of some of the basic elements, you don’t have to change everything,”

Dr. Ingleton continues by saying —

“When it’s warm, you want to have a certain ritual that you use, and in the colder months you want a different one. Because the cleanser that you use in the summertime may be more like a gel and foamy and makes you crisp, that’s not going to cut it in December because your skin needs more moisture. I would change my cleanser with the seasons and the consistency of my sun protection moisturizer.”
