GloRilla is living up to her glowing name. The “Yeah Glo” artist released her first studio album in October, was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2025, and is currently headlining her own tour. The raptress continues to elevate, musically, spiritually and physically. Glorilla’s fitness journey has been possible in part through the help of her trainer Rob Worthy

“She makes me look good at my job because of how on top of everything she is when it comes to her fitness journey,” Worthy told 21Ninety.

GloRilla’s Trainer Rob Worthy’s Background

Worthy didn’t always plan to personally train A-list stars. In fact, the Oakland native had dreams of making it big in the NFL after graduating from Washington State University. However, a sudden injury and the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything.

“I was stressed out, Worthy told 21Ninety. “This was like the biggest depression stage I had post-football. As I was trying to figure it out, I was like ‘Ok let me get back in the gym.’”

At the end of 2020, Worthy decided to pivot. He moved to Las Vegas, which he describes as “one of the meccas for body building” to learn the art with the help of bodybuilder Brandon Flihan.

“I started working out with him, and it was just a lot different than football,” Worthy said. “I learned a lot from him and when I started applying it to my own style of training with football, I noticed what it did for my body,”

In 2021, Worthy combined his athletic background with his newfound body building knowledge and ventured into personal training. He moved to Los Angeles and began taking on clients, along with embarking on his interests in modeling and acting.

Rob Worthy’s Advice on Body Transformation

As a trainer, Worthy says the first step on transforming your body in the gym happens outside of the building. It’s first figuring out your fitness goals through the food you’re consuming. For example, if you want to gain weight, it’s best to be in a calorie surplus. On the other hand, if losing weight is your goal, embark on a calorie deficit.

“You could do all the working out in the world, [but] if your diet isn’t on point and it’s not matching your workouts and your lifestyle, it’s going to be hard. You’re going to feel like a hamster on a wheel,” Worthy said.

Pair your diet with a detailed gym plan. While you don’t have to hit the gym every second of the day, pick a few days out of the week and commit to your workout. Worthy even listed free platforms including YouTube to find workout split inspiration.

“Do your job: research and learn. It’s trial and error,” Worthy explained. “What works for Glo may not work for you and vice-versa. But you got to have a plan.”

Worthy suggested surrounding yourself with good people who will keep you motivated and most importantly, accountable.

Debunking GloRilla’s “Skinny Bbl” Allegations

Although GloRilla’s in the spotlight as a massive rapstress, Worthy is right by her side, training her body for success. The pair started working together in early 2024 and continued training throughout GloRilla’s involvement in Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour.

“We started getting results right away. That’s when the “skinny BBL” allegations started to come during the [“Hot Girl Summer Tour”] tour,” Worthy shared. “That’s crazy, because it was so hard for us to get adjusted to the workouts and diet while on tour.”

Back in February, GloRilla took to her Instagram to clap back at haters claiming her fitness journey was a fad.

“It kills me when people discredit her hard work,” Worthy said.

GloRilla’s Body Transformation Breakdown

When GloRilla began her fitness journey with Worthy, she wasn’t an expert. However, she encompassed one of the best tools: discipline.

“She was really serious about her goals and changing her body to how she wants it to look,” Worthy explained. “She was very set on what she wanted her body to look like. When I first met her, she said she wanted a track-girl looking body.”

Worthy helped GloRilla gain muscle through weight training and the proper diet. Both regularly document their journey on their individual Instagram accounts. To prepare for GloRilla’s “Glorious Tour,” the rapper announced she was embarking on a 30-day spiritual and physical challenge.

“Everybody sees you’ve been working out, why not give them a challenge that they could do themselves?” Worthy said about the challenge.

Since then, GloRilla has maintained a fit and toned body, much like a track star. In February, Fenty named the rapper as its first-ever partner for Savage X Fenty, Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, and Fenty Hair. Rihanna’s enterprise shared a series of photos on its official social media channels showcasing the rapper in alluring lingerie with her body and hard work behind it on full-display.
