When it comes to music royalty, no one tops Beyoncé and JAY-Z. The Carters have built a dynasty that includes 53 Grammys, some of the all-time bestselling world tours, three children and a net worth of over a billion dollars. With all of their accolades, what fans of the couple have always seemed to obsess over the most is their love story. From 2002’s “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” to their joint album Everything Is Love, their real-life fairy tale has been well documented on wax, through iconic visuals and in refreshingly transparent moments that have helped us see the power of forgiveness. This month, the dynamic pair celebrates 14 years of choosing each other.

Let’s go down memory lane with the Carters and visit 14 of our all-time favorite moments from the couple.

’03 Bonnie & Clyde

Though rumors had long been circling about the Destiny’s Child frontrunner and the head honcho of Roc-a-Fella Records, this track and the chemistry that oozed off of the two in the music video seemed to permanently lock in the frenzy around the superstars.

Crazy in Love

If the previously mentioned collaboration fanned the flames, this one blew the roof off. Not only did this culture-shifting debut cement the solo career of Beyoncé, it also proved that the pair were not just a match made in romantic heaven, but also an unstoppable duo on the charts.

Deja Vu

Released as a special BET premiere, this video created an even bigger demand for everything Beyoncé and JAY-Z. The previously private couple even relished in a bit of public passion with Jay’s love tap on Bey, which was a moment to remember.

Upgrade U

Featuring an adorable scene where Bey cosplays as Jay, this is a favorite of all the members of the Beyhive. It also marked the first time the couple addressed speculations that the two had married, with Jay rapping, “And rumors you on the verge of a new merge, ’cause that rock on ya finger’s like a tumor.” Mmmhmmm.

Die With You

One thing about Beyoncé, she’s going to make sure we know just how deeply her love goes for Shawn Carter. She dropped this snippet that has become a staple for anniversary wishes for the couple every year since. Also, who knew she could play the piano before this? No one, honey!

Young Forever/Halo at the “On the Run” Tour

As the pair closed out their first tour together in the city where their forever began, fans got to see these adorable moments shared between the two.

Drunk in Love

Talk about chemistry. Beyoncé shocked the world with this surprise album, but it was the black and white visuals for the this racy track that really made tongues wag. Though the Carters are all in with one another, they still tend to be very private with their affection, so this video was a nice change of pace.

Sandcastles

When the world watched Lemonade, we were shocked to find out that the couple had been through something so painful, and many thought maybe we were watching a divorce announcement happen in real time until JAY-Z appeared in this visual. Once again, we were reminded of the power of love, of healing and of forgiveness that covers a multitude of sins. Seeing these two together again, happily in love the way we’ve always known them to be, is etched into music history.

Apes**t

With all the skeletons out of the closet, the couple were free to remind us that no one does it quite like them. Renting out the Louvre in Paris and filling it with so much Blackness that even the pictures on the wall were shook is something only the Carters could pull off.

Family Feud

“Nobody wins when the family feuds …” amen to that! This visual, directed by Oscar-nominee Ava DuVernay, is not only stunning, but also a rallying cry for coming out on the other side of life’s hard times stronger than ever. It also features everyone’s favorite costar, Blue Ivy, as well as a host of notable talent. But nothing is quite cuter than these BTS pics of the family at work.

Mood 4 Eva

Beyoncé’s Lion King-inspired album was both a sonic and visual exploration of Africa, and she made sure to bring the chief along. Not only does Jay make an appearance in the video for this track, he drops off one of his most lyrical verses in recent years. There’s something about collaborating with his Queen that really brings out the best in him.

Annual Oscars Gold Party

The Carters always know how to throw a party, and everyone is vying for an invite. The couple always shows up and shows out when it’s time, and their annual Gold Party is no exception. From the looks to the guest list, it is one of our favorite Bey and Jay collabs.

Tiffany & Co. Campaign

Oh, this is just darling. Bey and Jay make diamonds look good, especially the most rare yellow diamond pendant in the world. The pair created several ads for their collaboration with the luxury brand and paid homage to icons like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Audrey Hepburn.

Them.

We hope this love story lasts forever.
