From Keyshia Cole to Tiffany Haddish, 2022 is a year like no other when it comes to the love lives of celebrities.
When we usually think about making changes during the new year, we typically think about making resolutions, future goals, and vision boards which are usually if not always at the top of the list.
And now that we’ve officially reigned in the new year, celebrities are vowing to experience their personal lives in a plethora of ways, however, the most common aspect they’re all sharing this year is a whole new revamp on how they want to embrace love this 2022.
Resolution #1: Limiting Distractions
Looking for some inspiration to take on the new year single? Well, Karrueche Tran’s 2022 love vow might just be the sign you’ve been looking for.
The 33-year-old actress is vowing to keep to herself this year as she is more than determined to remain focused and limit out all of the distractions that are setting her back.
In this case, distractions are in direct reference to men this 2022. The notable ‘Claws’ actress stated in a video, “There's so much power in being alone and not being dependent on a man for validation, or to feel good about myself, or to feel fulfilled.” She adds “Also, men are a distraction. Sorry I hate to say it. Next year I don’t need any distractions.”
Resolution #2: Remaining Celibate
“I’m tackling celibacy this entire next year,” said Keyshia Cole in a Twitter statement.
Celibacy is a pure act of self-love when it comes to experiencing low vibrational people and situations. This year, the legendary singer and songwriter Keyshia Cole is vowing to amp up her love life by simply cutting sex out of the equation.
Cole took strongly to the stance on the social media platform back in December, and I must say we love to see it.
Resolution #3: BRB Manifesting My Soulmate
The single life is an inspiring journey to embark on, and this year the singer and tv personality, Tamar Braxton, is vowing that last Christmas will be the last she spends without the partner of her dreams. Tamar proclaimed the following to Essence, “May this be my last Christmas without the love of my life.”
Resolution #4: Lifelong Commitment
One of the ways the legendary TLC star Rozonda Thomas, aka ‘Chilli’ is looking to spend her 2022 is by changing her outlook on love through reading. The 50-year-old mogul started off the new year by reading Prayers For My Future Husband, a take on what it means to love and prepare for the love of your life.
“I’ve never been excited for marriage, for many valid reasons..but when u take time to think deeply, GOD knew exactly what HE was doing when HE created marriage. So the only ‘GOALS’ I want, is a loving & successful marriage in Christ Jesus with my future husband.”
Resolution #5: Remaining Optimistic
The stunning and talented LaLa recently opened up about remaining optimistic when it comes to her love life by seeing those around her in successful and beautiful relationships.
“I saw what YOU did for Ciara (I mean I was around for that😂🤷🏽♀️❤️) and what u did for Issa and Molly from Insecure sooooo…yeah u know the rest," said the 42-year-old actress to God (Presumably.)
Resolution #6: Self Love Is The Best Love
After going through a breakup with her ex Giveon in 2021, Justine Sky opened up about needing to set the bar high when it comes to her love life and the importance of reciprocation.
“When asked by a fan one of the biggest lessons she learned in 2021 she exclaimed, “That I really need to give myself the same love and attention that I was giving other people who didn’t deserve it.”
Resolution #7: Sitting Pretty And Letting Love Find Me
Shortly before the end of 2021 the noteworthy comedian and tv personality took to Twitter to ask for advice in finding the right man for her.
“I want a man in my life I can share my success with, my joy, my body and all while I feel safe with him, and he feels the same with me. Does anyone know how to make that happen?”
After receiving numerous comments stating that love is not something you seek, but something that rather finds you, Haddish took note and vowed to live her life by simply sitting pretty and letting love find her.
