So it’s the end of a fantastic night out. You get home and all you want to do is take off your makeup and crash. You bust out the makeup remover wipes to clean off that beautiful face, and it hits you: you just dropped $25 for a pair of falsies and only got one use out of them. The trash bin is staring you back in the face, but all you can see are your hard earned coins going down the dump with those lashes.

So what’s a girl to do? Don’t worry — your solution is at hand, sis.
Read on to discover some pro-tips on how to get serious mileage out of those falsies.
As originally reported in Refinery 29, false lashes are technically supposed to last us up to 12 uses. Say what?! Yes. However, in order to get this much mileage out of your falsies, there are certain steps that must be followed:
First Step
Make sure you have the right tools at hand to get the job done. After speaking to Refinery 29, celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg suggests using a tightly wound Q-tip as well as a water-based makeup remover, because “An oil-based remover will warp the lash,” she said to the publication.

Second step
Make sure to gently peel off your lashes and then swab the glue strip with the cotton swab soaked in makeup remover.
Final step
You will clean your lashes by sandwiching them between two makeup-remover-soaked cotton pads. Gently comb through the lashes removing any leftover residue, then leave them in their case to try fully. After they are completely dry, Greenberg advised with Refinery 29 to gently spray the lashes with 96% to 99% alcohol to disinfect them.
