Past ‘Lights On Festival’

In 2019, H.E.R. held the first ‘Lights On Festival.’ According to Live Nation, it made history as the first female-owned and female-curated festival in decades. The festival happened again for the second time in 2021, the same year her protest anthem “I Can’t Breathe” won a Grammy for “Song of the Year.” She also won the Best Original Song award for “Fight for You” from the “Judas and the Black Messiah” soundtrack at the Academy Awards.

According to Datebook, H.E.R. has had a busy last couple of years. This year’s “Lights On Festival” follows the “Back of My Mind Tour,” a 19-city tour from last year. In addition, in December, the singer starred as Belle in ABC’s “Beauty and the Beast Live.” She will also join the all-star cast of “The Color Purple” music, set to premiere Christmas.
